Once the candidate completes this training, their fingerprints are submitted to the California Department of Justice. And thereafter, background check is conducted by the FBI.  And, if the record comes clean, they are offered an interim guard card license so that they can apply for a security guard job. But note, that the interim license is valid for working as a part-time security guard.  And, for working on a full-time basis, candidates need to complete another 16 hours of training within 30 days of their guard card approval and again another 16 hours of training must be completed by them within 6 months of guard card approval.
