The basic training of ACS is divided into two parts which are as follows:
- a) Power to Arrest (4 hours) – “The Department of Consumer Affairs’ Power to Arrest Training Manual” is the reference guide while imparting this training to the candidates. The training is all about imparting detailed knowledge about the job responsibilities and legal aspects of security guards. Once you are done with the above training, you will be eligible for getting an interim guard card license and can be employed as a part-time security guard. But, for working as a full-time security guard, you need to complete another 32 hours of training. First training should be completed within 30 days of getting your guard card license and the second one should be completed within 6 months of getting your guard card license.
