Irrefutably, after the pandemic, security guards are now regarded as esteemed individuals in society. During the time of the pandemic, security guards played a colossal role in enforcing pandemic protocols in all the vital places to keep it safe and secure. But unfortunately, there was a dearth of BSIS-certified or competent security guards during that period. And so, to stay prepped for dealing with all kinds of uncertain situations, the state officials of California encouraged the security industry extensively. Thereafter, the officials declared that in the near future more than 32000 qualified security guards will be hired to secure important places.
So, if you are someone interested to start your career in the security industry then enrol your name in a certified training centre like Access Control Security (ACS).
ACS is a well-known online guard card training centre in California. ACS offers only BSIS-approved training to applicants. Top industry experts are hired in ACS to impart quality training to its candidates. The experts ensure the training sessions are easy to comprehend and engaging for the applicants. The basic training session comprises of two types of training programs which includes:
- a) Power to Arrest (4 hours) – In this course, the candidate is introduced to the key responsibilities of security guards and their legal aspects. And “Department of Consumer Affairs Power to Arrest Training Manual” is used to impart the training session which includes lectures, exercises, detailed discussions, and role-playing.
- b) Weapons of Mass Destruction (4 hours) – In this course, the candidate is introduced to the techniques of inspecting, detecting and reporting precursor activities of terrorist events. This training is offered based on the “Department of Consumer Affairs’ Weapons of Mass Destruction & Terrorism Awareness for Security Professionals course” which consists of a Digital Video Disk (DVD), Student Workbook and Facilitator Manual.
Once the above training is completed by the candidate, their background verification will be conducted by the FBI. And, if their report comes clean, an interim guard card license will be provided to them so that they can apply for a part-time security guard job. However, for getting employed on a full-time basis, the candidates must complete another 32 hours of training.
