One of the common security needs of business owners is to keep unauthorized individuals off their property.  The property could be a manufacturer, warehouse, car dealer, shopping center, school, hotel, gated residential community or other properties where a trespasser could cause damage. Property owners often hire security guard companies to keep trespassers out. Trespassing laws and procedures are part of the extensive licensing security guard training program.

Security Guards Protect Public and Private Property. The reasons for trespassing are many. Criminals enter a property after hours looking to steal under the cover of darkness. Juveniles see a bare wall on the side of a store as the perfect location to tag. Questionable characters choose the front of a liquor store to spend the day. In other cases, trespassers disregard a “closed” sign on a public hiking trail or other public place.

Security guard training provides information on the types of trespassing, trespass laws, use of force to defend property and other important topics.
